From what I've read about Pleasureboaters, is that it seems that they've been together since 2005 and have steadily built up their fans through the Seattle, Washington, area. They finally have released a debut album called ¡Gross! on February 12, 2008.
Not really sure how I would describe their music, it sounds to me that they're almost noise artists doing thrash metal... which needs to experience live to fully appreciate what they're trying to do. I may have to include a live video of them for example.
There's actually no Spanish in their songs, despite their album title (the upside-down exclaimation mark or punto de interrogación final), but I was drawn to "Andalou" which looked at least Spanish.
There's a nice rift that starts the song off, before some shredding ... it's one of the better songs on the album.
I recommend checking out "D'Jeff", "Leopard Print Babyware", and "State Of The Union" (which is a nice starter song for the album).
You can pick up ¡Gross!, out now, on Don’t Stop Believin’ Records - and be sure to catch them on tour.
